Five Skye Camanachd Players Named In 2015 Scotland Shinty / Camogie Squad | |
15 July 2015 Five Skye Camanachd players have been named in Scotland Ladies Head Coach Stuart Reid’s 2015 International Training Squad. Lorna MacRae and Caitlin MacLean, who were both part of the successful 2014 squad, have been included. There are also places for Sarah Corrigall, who has also previously played at this level as well as Catriona Gibb and Emma Gordon. Head Coach Stuart Reid is joined once again this year by assistants Scott Campbell and Eoghan Stewart as well as Physio Brian Slattery. The coaching team have attended several league matches across the country in the lead up to the squad selection. They also hosted two open trail sessions to give the players the chance to demonstrate skills, fitness and team work qualities. The initial pool of 25 players will attend training sessions on Sunday 16 August 2015 and Sunday 13 September 2015. The squad will be trimmed down to the final 20 players following the North v South matches on Sunday 27 September 2015. The final squad of will attend two further two training sessions in preparation for their match against Co Kildare’s All Ireland Intermediate team as part of the Shinty / Hurling / Camogie International Series on Saturday 24 October 2015 at the Bught Park, Inverness. |
