04 October 2013 Scotland Head Coach Drew McNeil has named his squad for the 2013 Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling international series with Ireland, It is a strong squad with the Newtonmore contingent doubled from last year, when Norman Campbell and Steven MacDonald were involved, with the inclusion of Glen MacKintosh and Fraser MacKintosh. The squad also includes three brothers from Kinlochshiel – Finlay MacRae, Keith MacRae and John MacRae, who steps up from the Scotland U21s. Only two players are named from outwith shinty’s top division – Beauly’s Conor Cormack, who also makes the jump from last year’s U21 squad, and Liam MacDonald from Kilmallie. Head Coach Drew McNeil said, “I am really pleased with this year’s squad; there is a good mix of youth and experience. I had some difficult decisions to make during the selection process as there were a high number of talented, committed players available to choose from.
