Defensive Woes For Manager Hay | |
14 January 2018 Oban Camanachd manager Iain Hay has a defensive headache ahead of the new shinty season. Full back Gary McKerracher has said that he is taking a year’s break from the game whilst defensive linchpin Scott MacKillop is awaiting a scan on his injured knee. Garry Lord will miss the pre-season and possibly the first game of the season as he will be on holiday whilst Scott MacMillan has a suspension to serve. Chrissy MacMillan, who is expected to make the step up from Lochside, is on the road to recovery from his injury but isn’t ready yet. Matt Rippon, Willie Neilson and Daniel Cameron could step in at the back whilst Daniel Sloss will get his chance to impress during the pre-season matches. Craig MacDougall and Evan MacLellan are two others who are expected to be rewarded for their performances for Lochside last season with a senior call up in 2018. |
