Beauly Book Marks 125th Anniversary | |
14 January 2018 Beauly Shinty Club has announced the release of a book to mark their 125th anniversary. Written by club secretary and Camanachd Association Director, Steven MacKenzie, the book focuses on the clubs fortunes over the years 1992-2017, using archive photos and recollections from players and committee members to recall the ups and the downs over this period. The book features sketches by renowned author and illustrator Mairi Hedderwick, archive images from photographer Neil G Paterson and shinty historian, Dr Hugh Dan MacLennan amongst others. The club is also indebted to Tom Smith from design studio Lateral North who, despite being a Lovat man, set aside any personal differences and designed a superb looking book that will delight Beauly fans and shinty supporters alike. Copies of the book are now available from Steven priced £10 each and he can be contacted on steven.mackenzie98@aberdeen.ac.uk or on mobile: 07968 437655. |
