All In A Good Cause For Skye Camanachd | |
11 December 2014 Skye Camanachd have been involved in some “Good Cause” exercises as the 2014 shinty season draws to a close. The Gate collection and after-match raffle from the George Michie Memorial Cup match between Skye Camanachd and Kinlochshiel at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 29 November 2014 raised £400 and this sum was handed over to the Tigh na Drochaid Amenity Fund which arranges the group’s Christmas Party. The Skye Camanachd first team players had a whip-round and £100 was donated to the Isle of Skye Primary Schools Camanachd Association who organise shinty at the U12 age group throughout the Island. The Skye Camanachd Ladies also did their bit as they headed for the Cuillin FM studios on Thursday 11 December 2014 to drop off their donations to the radio station’s “Cram the Van” toys appeal. A number of Skye Camanachd players were also involved in an exercise with the Isle of Skye Rotary to collect logs for firewood from The Lump in Portree. The logs will be distributed by the Rotary. |
