AJG Parcels Glasgow Celtic Society Cup holders Inveraray have won the South trophy 21 times, and 13 of those victories have come in the last 18 years.
They had a comfortable win against Aberdour in this year’s competition before encountering a testing semi final against Oban Camanachd.

Inveraray were too strong for Aberdour as they ran out 8-0 winners in their 3pm throw up at the Winterton. Lewis MacNicol continued his good scoring run with a goal in the opening minute. David Robertson made it 2-0 with a 28 minute strike. Former Kilmallie striker Peter McIntyre has started his Inveraray career with a bang and he was on target on 31 and 36 minutes to make it 4-0. Neil Campbell added another on 38 minutes as the holders took a 5-0 lead into the half time break. Lewis MacNicol got his second on 51 minutes to make it 7-0 and a double from Euan McMurdo on 59 and 72 minutes completed an 8-0 victory.

Oban Camanachd 0 Inveraray 1
Inveraray had to fight all the way to edge out Oban Camanachd at Mossfield. The home side included veteran Fraser Inglis in their line-up. The regulation 90 minutes failed to provide a goal and it took a Euan McMurdo strike 8 minutes from the end of extra-time to put Inveraray through. Deek Cameron was the match referee.
The 109th AJG Parcels Glasgow Celtic Society Cup Final takes place at the Strachurmore Sports Centre, Strachur on Saturday 29 June 2013. Throw up is at 4pm and Colin MacDonald is the match referee. There will be hot and cold snacks on sale as well as a beer tent and there will be a selection of tunes from the Dunoon Grammar School Pipe Band throughout the day. Admission is £10 (includes match programme), with £5 Concessions and Children Under 15 go free.
