Tulloch Camanachd Cup – First Round

Fort William v Oban Celtic
Aberdeen University v Beauly / Skye Camanachd
Bute v Inverness / Caberfeidh
Kilmory / Glenorchy v Taynuilt
Inveraray v Tayforth
Strathglass v Ballachulish
The ten Premiership clubs, including holders Newtonmore, enter the competition at the second round stage which is played on Saturday 27 May 2017. That draw will take place on Monday 8 May 2017, following the first round ties.
George Fraser, an eight times Camanachd Cup winner, said: "I'm extremely pleased to see more teams in this year's competition and some attractive ties in the draw. Beauly at home to Skye Camanachd seems the pick of the preliminary round while in the first round Fort William v Oban Celtic, another clash of National Division teams, could be particularly intriguing.
"It's good to see smaller teams get the chance to play in the sport's Blue Riband competition and perhaps win their way through to face Premiership opposition in the second round."
Keith Loades, Vice President of the Camanachd Association said: “The draw has thrown up some very interesting challenges. With Kilmory or Glenorchy drawn against Taynuilt, this will guarantee that one South Division 1 club will enter the second round where they may face Premiership opposition. Aberdeen University who have entered the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup for the first time in many years will relish the prospect of a home tie against either Beauly or Skye Camanachd.”
