2016 Lochaber Camanachd Annual Awards | |
21 November 2016 There were a number of player of the year awards made at the Lochaber Camanachd Annual Dinner Dance at the West End Hotel, Fort William on Saturday 19 November 2016. Lochaber full back Lachlan Campbell was named senior team player of the year following his final season for the first team. It was a family affair for the Campbells as Lachlan’s son Max Campbell collected the U14 player of the year prize whilst his sister Aileen Campbell’s performances in goal for the Lochaber Ladies team secured her a double - the Ladies player of the year and the supporters’ player of the year accolades. This was the first time that one of the Spean Bridge side’s ladies had collected the latter award. There was also recognition for Claire Delaney who was the ladies most improved player of the year whilst Shana Michie’s performances this year earned her the development player of the year. Keith Neville picked up the second team accolade whilst North U17 player Findlay MacDonald was tops for the Lochaber U17s for the second year in a row. Ryan Andrews was the club’s most improved U14 player of the year. |
