2015 Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling / Camogie Internationals …………. 2 Days To Go! | |
22 October 2015 There is a great chance for shinty supporters to see some of the game’s best players in action at the 2015 Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling / Camogie internationals between Scotland and Ireland at the Bught Park on Saturday 24 October 2015. A big crowd is expected for the match and the atmosphere at the Bught Park is always special on these occasions. Scotland Head Coach Ronald Ross said, “This game is a one-off. It’s great a chance to see shinty’s top players in action against some very special hurlers. It’s exciting occasion and a noisy Scotland support is always a big help to us.” Scotland U21 boss Garry Reid agreed. He said, “I’m sure anyone who attends will find it really worth coming along and they will enjoy the spectacle. As well as the senior match, I hope we also get a big crowd for the earlier games. However I always say to the players that whilst it’s great to play in front of a big crowd, it’s also great to play in front of your family and friends who will all be there.” Scotland Ladies Head Coach Stuart Reid, whose team are up first on the Bught Park outside pitch said, “We played there last year and found that there is a good atmosphere with supporters so close to the playing field. Everyone is looking forward to the game.”
2015 Shinty / Hurling / Camogie International Match Schedule The Shinty / Hurling / Camogie international match schedule has been set ahead of this year’s meeting with Irish opposition.
Saturday 24 October 2015 - Bught Park, Inverness Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling International Scotland Senior Men v Ireland Senior Men (Throw in – 2pm) Scotland U21 Men v Ireland U21 Men (Throw in – 11.30am) Scotland Senior Women v County Kildare Senior Women (Throw in - 10.30am) Tickets can be bought in advance from Eden Court Theatre (01463 234234 / www.eden-court.co.uk) or at the ground on the day. Prices are £10 Adults / £5 Concession / U12s go FREE when accompanied by a paying adult. Discounts are available to Camanachd Association members.
