2015 League Restructuring Proposal Goes Before AGM | |
21 October 2014 A motion proposed by Newtonmore and Kingussie with support from Lovat, Glenurquhart, Kyles athletic, Inveraray, Lochaber, Oban Camanachd and Fort William will be put to the Camanachd Association Annual General Meeting on Friday 28 November 2014. The motion proposes the following league structure:
Promotion and relegation between the Orion Group Premiership and the Marine Harvest National Division would be one down - one up automatically with the introduction of play-offs between the ninth placed top division team and second place from the league below.
Teams have been placed in proposed leagues for the 2015 shinty season, based on their final position at the end of the 2014 season as follows: Orion Group Premiership (10) Newtonmore Lovat Glenurquhart Kyles Athletic Kingussie Inveraray Kinlochshiel Lochaber Fort William Oban Camanachd

RBS MacTavish Cup - All Orion Group Premiership, Marine Harvest National Division (North) and first teams in Marine Harvest North Division 1 (15 teams)
AJG Parcels Glasgow Celtic Society Cup - All Orion Group Premiership, Marine Harvest National Division (South) & first teams in Marine Harvest South Division 1 (12 teams)
Balliemore Cup – All teams in Marine Harvest National Division & first teams in Marine Harvest North Division 1 and Marine Harvest South Division 1 (17 teams)
Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup – Second teams in Marine Harvest North Division 1 and Marine Harvest South Division 1 & all teams in Marine Harvest North Division 2 and Marine Harvest South Division 2 & any affiliated non-league club. (minimum 27 teams)
Strathdearn Cup - 2nd teams in North & all teams in North Div 2 & any affiliated North based non-league club. (minimum 17 teams)
Bullough Cup – Second teams in Marine Harvest South Division 1 & all teams in Marine Harvest South Division 2 & any affiliated South based non-league club. (minimum 10 teams)
