2015 Balliemore Cup Final ………….. 2 Days To Go! | |
16 July 2015 The early team news is starting to emerge ahead of the 2015 Balliemore Cup Final between Glasgow Mid Argyll and Beauly at the Dell on Saturday 18 July 2015. Glasgow Mid Argyll boss George Hay was without no fewer than ten players in last week’s SSE Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup quarter-final defeat to Inveraray. 2014 top scorer Craig Anderson hasn’t played regularly since early April 2015 because of injury and the final is likely to have come too soon for him. Finlay MacMillan and Brendan McLoone are abroad until later in the year as is Conal Mulholland. However Ben Dalgety should return for the final as should Andy Mathie and Brian Slattery with youngster Jack Berg also likely to be part of their pool of players. Beauly manager Roger Cormack will welcome the experienced Jamie MacLennan back following a two-match suspension for his red card in the semi-final win over Kilmallie and MacLennan should start at full back. Cormack will also be relieved that full forward Marc MacLachlan has recovered from a leg knock sustained against Skye Camanachd a fortnight ago and he came through last weekend’s 4-0 win over his former club Ballachulish with no ill-effects. U17 player Sandy Elrick has been a bright addition to the first team squad this season and he has been dangerous coming off the bench.
Event Details The 2015 Balliemore Cup between Glasgow Mid Argyll and Beauly throws up at 2.30pm and John MacGregor is the match referee. Admission is £5 / £3 concessions and U12s go free if accompanied by an adult. |
