2013 Artemis Macaulay Cup Final ………….. 1 Day To Go! | |
16 August 2013 Kyles Athletic and Newtonmore meet in the Artemis Macaulay Cup Final at Mossfield on Saturday 17 August 2013. This will be the first time that these sides have met this season and they both won through to this year’s Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final over the last fortnight. Kyles Athletic manager Norman MacDonald has Scotland U17 defender Zac Coley back from holiday to bolster his squad. MacDonald has also seen the likes of Andrew King and Callum Miller return from injury in recent weeks as his side look to add to their Glasgow Celtic Society Cup success. Newtonmore manager Paul John MacKintosh was clearly disappointed last weekend when it became clear that he would be without Rory Kennedy after the Scotland U21 captain required surgery on a shattered finger sustained in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup win over Fort William. Oban lad John MacKenzie is likely to start in Kennedy’s place. There could also be a concern over Cameron Binnie who suffered a hand injury during the game and finished the match with a strapped finger. Colin MacDonald is the match referee for this much anticipated clash. Admission is just £5 for adults with £3 concessions and U12s get free entry. Throw up is at 2pm and the whole match will be televised live on BBC2 Scotland. |
