The Camanachd Association is keen to explore the possibility of Ballachulish joining Marine Harvest North Division 1 for the 2012 shinty season.

The Jubilee Park side finished in fifth place in Marine Harvest South Division 1 last season and their home pitch is only 15 miles from Fort William.

The Camanachd Association faces an imbalance of sides competing in the North and South first divisions next season. It currently looks as if there will be as few as seven sides set to compete in the North whilst there could be as many as eleven teams in the South.

A switch of league for Ballachulish will go some way to addressing that but Ballachulish have yet to give the plan the green light.
