Willie MacRae Takes Over As Skye Camanachd Chairman. | |
24 November 2011 Willie MacRae has taken over as Skye Camanachd Chairman following the club's Annual General Meeting at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Thursday 24 November 2011. Willie MacRae is a Camanachd Cup winner with the Islanders and he was awarded the Albert Smith Medal as man of the match following the win over Newtonmore at An Aird in 1990. He steps up from his role as Vice-Chairman to take over from former Chairman Ross Cowie who assumes the Vice-Chairman role. Keith MacKenzie continues as Secretary and Alasdair Bruce remains as Treasurer. Donnie Martin remains on the Committee and continues in charge of the Pairc nan Laoch field. David Grant and Neil MacVicar are the players representatives on the Committee. Kim Millar stays in a Fund Raising role which includes handling the club's merchandise. The Committee will progress the appointments of the various team managers at a meeting in a fortnights time. |
