Murdo Morrison Content Considering Stretched Resources. | |
26 April 2011 Skye Camanachd second team assistant manager Murdo Morrison was content with his team’s performance considering the number of players missing for the 4-3 Marine Harvest North Division 2 defeat to Newtonmore at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 23 April 2011. Speaking to Cuillin FM’s Saturday Sports Show after the game, Morrison said, “We’re quite happy with how we played. I thought all our young guys did very well especially Will Cowie and Andrew Grant. Newtonmore were beefier and bigger than us but I thought John Macleod was massive for us.” Reflecting on his limited selection options, Morrison said, “With the players that we had missing, we did well and we’ll take a lot from that. Hopefully Nui has two or three players back next week and that will give us more options. Both Skye teams have been blighted by injury and again today, we lost John MacKenzie. He doesn’t look too pretty after getting 10 stitches just below his eye and he won’t look too great for the girls tonight!” Newtonmore and Skye Camanachd are due to meet in the league again at the Eilan this weekend. |
