Lochaber Boss Pleased With Skye Win. | |
17 April 2011 Lochaber manager Michael Delaney was pleased with his side’s 3-1 win over Skye Camanachd in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 16 April 2011. “We put in a very good performance and the guys are quite chuffed as it’s the first time we have won here for a long time,” said Delaney when he spoke to Cuillin FM’s Saturday Sports Show after the game. “It was a hard match but I thought our centre line were good. Neil (MacDonald), Fleck (Andrew MacDonald) and Hughie (Innes) are big and strong and they provided the forward line with a lot of ball. We have free-flowing forwards who play with pace and accuracy.” “We had our strongest squad out today. We have guys who work off-shore and at sea and it won’t be the case that we have them available every week. We are looking strong when we have our full squad though.” Next up for Lochaber is a MacTavish Cup quarter final meeting with Kilmallie at the Canal Parks. “We will resume some friendships next week,” said Delaney with a smile. |
