Skye Camanachd 2011 First Team Management Team Confirmed.

Aonghas MacDonald will be the Skye Camanachd first team manager for the 2011 shinty season.

MacDonald had stepped down as first team manager at the end of last season after a 2 year period at the helm because his work commitments took him away from the Island for large parts of the week.

He had also hoped to resume his playing career after injury but this will not be possible.

The club has put in place a management team for the 2011 season which will provide support through the week and on match days. Skye Camanachd’s 1990 Camanachd Cup winning manager Ross Cowie will be MacDonald’s assistant manager. Willie Cowie and Willie MacRae, who were both key players in the Camanachd Cup winning team, will take the twice weekly training sessions.
