29 September 2010 Skye Camanachd U14 beat Glenurquhart U14 4-1 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree in North Division 1 on Thursday 19 August 2010. The Glen were first to threaten on 13 minutes when full centre Ewan Brady played a deep ball which found Jack Hosie who forced Skye keeper Iain MacLeod to save well with his feet before clearing for a corner. MacLeod saved with his feet again on 19 minutes from Arran Barron and cleared the ball for another corner as the visitors pressed. However it was Skye who took the lead on 26 minutes when Connor Henderson made a good run from midfield and passed to Will Cowie who sent a lovely back-hand shot into the net. Glenurquhart’s Jack Hosie played in Arran Barron on 33 minutes and MacLeod in the Skye goal made a fantastic save with his stick to keep the young Islanders ahead. A minute later Glen’s centre Ewan Brady saw his 25 yard shot saved by MacLeod and the Skye defence cleared the danger. Skye had the last chance of the half as Ally MacLeod shot wide of goal. Skye went 2-0 up just a minute into the second half. This time scorer Will Cowie turned provider as he teed up Angie Grant to shoot low into the net. Angie Grant scored his second goal 8 minutes into the second half when he fired a glorious drive just under the crossbar to make it 3-0. A minute later Glen keeper Calum Marshall saved well from a Mark Mortimer shot. Glen’s Ewan Brady got the goal his all-round play deserved 13 minutes into the second half when he drilled the ball low into the net from 20 yards to make it 3-1. Just 3 minutes later, a mazy Brady run created the chance to shoot but MacLeod was equal to his effort. Skye keeper Iain MacLeod then came out of goal to play in the attack with Chris Campbell taking over between the sticks. Connor Henderson came close to getting his name on the scoresheet 7 minutes from time but Marshall made another good stop. However a minute later Marshall saved well from Iain MacLeod but there was nothing he could do to stop Angie Grant from knocking the rebound into the net to make it 4-1.
