Kingussie Boss Expects Final Test. | |
13 September 2010 Kingussie first team manager Stevie Borthwick expects his side to face a stiff test against Fort William in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final which takes place at the Bught Park Inverness on Saturday 18 September 2010. “The Camanachd Cup is what we have been aiming for since day one,” said Borthwick when he spoke on Cuillin FM’s breakfast show on Monday 13 September 2010. “We obviously changed our team and introduced some young players at the start of the season. It was a bit difficult for us at first but the young boys have been learning and we hope this pays dividends for us.” “Fort William have all the experience and although it’s a difficult task for us, its one that we are looking forward to and we will give it 100%.” “”We beat Fort William 3-0 at the Bught earlier in the season and I think they took us too lightly after their 6-0 win against us at the start of the season but I don’t think they will take us lightly this Saturday, that’s for sure.” “The Bught is an open park with lots of spaces and we will try and use that to our advantage.” The Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final at the Bught Park, Inverness throws up at 2.20pm. Admission for a fantastic day’s shinty is £10 and £5 for concessions. The final will also be shown live on BBC2 Scotland where coverage starts at 2pm. Iain Anderson and Hugh Dan MacLennan are the match commentators. |
