MacDonald Asks Players For More. | |
01 May 2010 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald is looking for his side to rise to the challenge of competing with top level teams every week following Skye’s 5-0 defeat to Fort William at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 1 May 2010.
“I was happy with our first half performance,” said MacDonald. “We had several chances, particularly before Fort William scored their third goal, but they were more clinical in front of goal than us.”
“However I wasn’t happy with our second half performance. We just didn’t do enough and I know we are a better side than that. I’ll be looking for a response from the players in next week’s match against Lovat who are also a Premier Division side.”
“We would really benefit from playing teams like Fort William and Lovat every week and that’s why we want promotion to the Premier League,” said the Skye manager.
Next weekend, Skye Camanachd travel to Balgate to play Lovat, in the first round of the Artemis Macaulay Cup. |
