| Shinty Shop To Visit Portree. | |
| 05 February 2010 The Shinty Shop will visit Portree on Saturday 13 February 2010.
The Shinty Shop will set up their mobile premises at Pairc nan Laoch ahead of the Iomain Cholmcille – the Gaelic Shinty / Hurling international between Alba and Eirinn.
Iomain Cholmcille is an international project between Scotland and Ireland where shinty and hurling teams from the Gaelic communities of Scotland and Ireland come together to play under composite rules. It aims to strengthen both languages and cultures together through sport.
The event is funded by Colmcille which aims to strengthen the links between Gaelic Scotland and Ireland.
All players are Gaelic speakers and are required to speak Gaelic at all times, especially on the park. | |
