Ireland Suffer Kelly Blow Ahead Of Shinty / Hurling Second Test. | |
27 October 2011 Ireland senior Shinty / Hurling boss Joe Dooley has suffered a triple blow ahead of the Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling international against Scotland at the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 29 October 2011. Injury has ruled out Tipperary’s Eoin Kelly, who scored six points and was for many the man of the match in the first test. Also absent are keeper Paddy Mullaney and Andy O’Brien. Rory Hanniffy from Offaly replaces Eoin Kelly whilst Carlow’s Craig Doyle comes into the squad in place of Andy O'Brien. Paul Dermody from Kildare, who played in goal for the Irish in both tests last year, replaces Paddy Mullaney between the posts. The second test between Scotland and Ireland takes place at the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 29 October 2011. The match starts at 2pm and, if you are unable to make the game, it will be shown live on BBC2 Scotland starting at 1.45pm. The second test will be preceded by the meeting between the Scotland U21 and Ireland U21 sides who clash at 12 noon. The day’s sporting feast begins with a Challenge Shinty / Camogie match between Scotland and the British Universities side and this starts at 10.30am.
