Ireland U21 boss Michael Walsh has named his squad for the forthcoming Shinty / Hurling international against Scotland.
The Irish U21 panel is managed by Kilkenny's Michael Walsh and John Meyler of Kerry.
The squad includes Limerick’s Declan Hannon who picked up provincial medals in a hugely positive year for hurling in the Treaty County. He was also in the running for Bord Gáis “Energy Breaking Through Player of the Year for 2011” which was eventually won by Cork’s Aidan Walsh. Hannon is also one of the nominates for the 2011 GAA GPA All-Star Young Hurler of the Year sponsored by Opel. The others nominated are Liam Rushe ofDublin and Pauric Mahony ofWaterford.
Shane Nolan of Kerry is another squad member likely to catch the eye he and Wicklow’s Eamon Kearns have been nominated for the 2011 GAA GPA Christy Ring

The Ireland and Scotland senior sides meet at Athy, Co. Kildare in the first test on Saturday 22 October 2011. The match may be streamed live over the internet by Irish channel TG4. There will be delayed coverage of the match on BBC ALBA at 4pm on Sunday 23 October 2011.
The second test between Scotland and Ireland takes place at the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 29 October 2011. The match starts at 2pm and will be shown live on BBC2 Scotland if you are unable to make the game. The second test will be preceded by a Challenge Shinty / Camogie match between Scotlandand the British Universities side which starts at 10.30am. The Scotland U21 and Ireland U21 sides clash at 12 noon.
