Lovat Boss White Praises Defence. | |
11 August 2011 Lovat second team joint manager James White praised his defenders following his team’s 4-0 Marine Harvest North Division 2 defeat to Skye Camanachd at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 30 July 2011. Speaking to Cuillin FM’s Saturday Sports Show after the game White said, “It was a very hard shift for us today but the players who travelled did very well. We only lost one goal in the second half and I’m not too disappointed with that considering the age of the team with only three of us over twenty years of age.” When asked about his players performance in the game, White said, “Laura Gallacher did well. She’s a testament to her father James Gallacher and she punches above her weight. Lewis Tawse and 15 year old Michael MacKenzie and 13 year old and Danny Kelly were great. Michael is another of the Gallacher dynasty and he is a classy player. Alan MacPherson was great too. In fact the whole defence did very well for us today.” As thoughts turn to the remainder of the season and the fight to avoid relegation, White said, “We have four games left and they will all be a battle but I’m confident we will survive in this league.” |
