Skye Boss MacDonald Reflects On Spean Bridge Defeat. | |
13 July 2011 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald made no excuses following his team’s 7-2 defeat to Lochaber in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 meeting at Spean Bridge on Saturday 9 July 2011. Speaking after the game, MacDonald said, “We gave a good account of ourselves in the first half when we competed well. However I thought we missed Alan Palmer when he went off and I hope he won’t be missing for too long. In the end Michael Nicolson in our goal was probably the best player on the park. Our defence was really over-worked and fitness was a problem in the latter part of the game.” “It was good to give young Ally MacLeod his first outing. We should have a couple of the players who were missing today back for the Beauly match next week and that will be another tough game.” |
