Skye Defender Andrew Banks Praises Team-mates. | |
07 July 2011 Skye Camanachd defender Andrew Banks praised his team-mates following their 10-4 win over Lochcarron in Marine Harvest North Division 1 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 2 July 2011. Speaking to the Cuillin FM Saturday Sports Show after the game, Banks said, “It was a really good win and probably the most goals we’ve scored in a long time. Some of the goals and touches from Somhairle (MacDonald) were just great. He will be a big loss when he goes to Canada for the summer but I think that win today takes us away from the relegation area so that’s good.” When asked about the defensive unit’s recent good performances, Banks said, “Well we may have let a few in today but we have been getting better. Kerr (Gibb) dropped back today to help when Shockie (MacLennan) went off and Beans (Neil MacVicar) has done well at full back so there are lots of options there now.” |
