Skye Boss MacDonald Pleased With Two Points. | |
25 June 2011 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald was pleased to collect two points as his side ran out 3-1 winners in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 clash with Strathglass at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 18 June 2011. Speaking to the Cuillin FM Saturday Sports Show after the game, MacDonald said, “I was quite pleased with the first half. It was good to see a few goals go in and I also thought our defence did quite well in the first half as did the midfield. I think we have been improving over the last few weeks.” Reflecting on the second half, MacDonald said, “We didn’t quite put in quite the same performance in the second half and we may have tired a bit as we did in the Beauly game but the difference being we took our first half chances this week.” “The forwards were great during the first 20 minutes. Alan Palmer and Somhairle MacDonald linked up well and Iain Morrison had a couple of cracking runs and was unlucky not to score. Danny Morrison was good too in that period and I was pleased with that.” “We now have a derby match against Kinlochshiel to look forward to next week and that will be a real test against a side that are going well but it will let us to see where we actually are.” |
