Kilmallie’s Stewart Happy To See Side Pick Up First League Points. | |
06 April 2011 Kilmallie and Scotland forward John Stewart was happy to see his side pick up their first points of the season following their 3-1 win over Glenorchy on Saturday 2 April 2010. After defeats to Oban Camanachd and Newtonmore, the Kilmallie hit-man was happy with the win at Glenorchy. “We were just happy to get two points on Saturday to be honest. It wasn’t our best performance and we missed plenty of clear-cut chances. The conditions were pretty poor, especially in the first half. The rain did didn’t stop and the sticks were flying out of people’s hands.” Stewart scored his second league goal in the game to add to his brace in the Co-operative MacTavish Cup but his main thought was what the win would do for the team. “The win gets us off the bottom of the table and it gives us something to build on now,” he said. Kilmallie travel to Drumnadrochit to play Glenurquhart in the Scottish Hydro Premier Division on Saturday 9 April 2011. |
