MacVicar Pleased With Win But There’s More Work To Do. | |
05 April 2011 Skye Camanachd first team manager Davie MacVicar was pleased to see his side back on the winning way following their 5-1 triumph over Lochaber in Marine Harvest North Division 2 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 2 April 2011. It was a much changed Skye line-up which MacVicar acknowledged. “We made a small number of personnel changes but a big number of positional changes,” said the Skye boss after the game. “In the main the changes worked for us although there are a few things for us to work on. We gave Stevie MacKinnon his second team debut and he did well at wig back.” “It has to be said that it was a young Lochaber side that we were up against and they had some players missing. But I’m pleased to get the win and it now gives us 4 points which is better than at the same stage last season.” MacVicar expects to face a much more experienced Fort William side in the first round of the Aberdein Sutherland Cup this weekend. “The Fort William first team has some players back since we faced Fort William 3 weeks ago and I expect that will increase Victor Smith’s options.” The match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree throws up at 2.30pm. |
