No Complaints From Lochcarron Manager Murdo John Fraser. | |
30 March 2011 Lochcarron manager Murdo John Fraser had no complaints following his side’s 4-0 defeat to Caberfeidh in the Co-operative MacTavish Cup first round at Castle Leod on Saturday 26 March 2011. Lochcarron first team manager Murdo John Fraser spoke to the Cuillin FM Saturday Sports Show after the game. Fraser said, “They were better with their stick than we were and they were the better team so we have no complaints. However Fraser was frustrated that this was only his side’s second game of the season. ““We didn’t have a game last week and we don’t have a game next week. This stop-start is not good and we are just not getting the games at the moment. Our lack of games went against us today and we didn’t take the chances we created in the first half.” Reflecting on his team’s performance, Fraser said, “Allan “Ham” MacKenzie at full back was outstanding. Mark Sproule was also good as was young Danny MacRae in defence. Andrew Slaughter was also outstanding the whole way through the game.” Fraser is looking forward to working more with his squad. “The longer nights will help with training and we’ll get there.” Lochcarron also have injuries to contend with. Fraser said, “Finlay Stark missed the game with a cartilage tear whilst it looks as if Dickie MacKenzie suffered a broken hand during the Cabers’ game.” However Fraser is still looking ahead and although his side has no game this weekend, he said, “We are off to Taynuilt in the first round of the Balliemore Cup a week on Saturday. We don’t know much about them but we have someone checking them out so we will know more later on.” |
