11 March 2011 The weather has taken its toll on the shinty fixtures for Saturday 12 March 2011. The game between Glenorchy and Fort William is off as the Mart is failed a pitch inspection. Both the games between Glenurquhart and Inveraray at Blairbeg and Oban Camanachd and Kyles Athletic at Mossfield were called off because of the poor road conditions. The Marine Harvest North Division 1 derby between Skye Camanachd and Kinlochshiel at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree has also been postponed. In the same league, the match between Caberfeidh and Lochaber at Castle Loeod is also off. The Marine Harvest North Division 2 match between Newtonmore and Lovat was called off when the Eilan was deemed unplayable. The match between Kilmallie and Kingussie at the Canal Parks was also a casualty. Glengarry versus Fort William was a late call off. The Marine Harvest North Division 3 game at Farr between Boleskine and Strathglass is off as Strathglass were unable to raise a team. In the South, the Marine Harvest South Division 1 game at Rothesay between Bute and Lochside Rovers is off. The game between Glasgow Mid Argyll and Taynuilt was to be switched to Taynuilt as Yoker was unplayable but the game was eeventually called off because of the poor road conditions. The match between Ballachulish and Aberdour has also been called off because of the road conditions. The whole Marine Harvest South Division 2 programme has been postponed. This includes the clash between Tayforth and Ballachulish, the meeting between Aberdour and Inveraray, the game between Col Glen and Bute and Strachur versus Glasgow Mid Argyll with the latter ruled out because of the road conditions.
