10 February 2011 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald has named a 19 man squad for his side’s Thomas Ferguson Memorial Cup clash against Kingussie on Saturday 12 February 2011. MacDonald is without the services of keeper Jamie Gannon who is unavailable. Jamie MacDonald remains on the injury list whilst Kenny Campbell has moved to work in Australia and Iain Nicolson has signed for Lovat. Iain Murray will make his Skye Camanachd debut following his move from Glasgow Mid Argyll. Kingussie will send a strong squad to Portree. However their captain and record breaking goal scorer Ronald Ross will be a noticeable absentee as he has yet to recover from ankle ligament damage sustained in the Shinty / Hurling international against Ireland at the end of last season. However Ross will travel to Portree with the squad. James Hutchison is also unavailable but manager Steve Borthwick and his assistant Russell Jones will have all the other usual faces at their disposal. The teams will play for the 2010 Thomas Ferguson which was postponed several times last season because of the inclement weather. Throw up is at 1.30pm.
