08 February 2011 The Skye Camanachd Annual Dinner Dance at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Saturday 5 February 2011 was a great success. Tickets for the event were sold out in the lead up to the event with over 100 people present. The entertainment was provided by the ever-popular Cast Ewe Ceilidh Band, with support from Eoghan Stewart who sang a couple of Gaelic numbers to celebrate Lewis Camanachd’s entry into Marine Harvest North Division 3. The 3 course meal was provided by former Skye Camanachd player Hugh Clark’s Granary Restaurant. The club’s annual player of the year awards where presented by Margaret Banks and they will be announced separately on the website. Skye Camanachd second team forward Angie MacDonald was the winner of second team manager Davie MacVicar’s “lame excuse award” as he missed a second team match because he had to drive his girlfriend’s horse to an Agricultural Show. |
