Ireland v Scotland………….1 Day To Go. | |
29 October 2010 McNeil Plans For Victory. Scotland Head Coach Drew McNeil has a victory plan for the Shinty / Hurling international against Ireland at Croke Park on Saturday 30 October 2010. Ahead of the weekend clash, McNeil said, “I hope we can create structure and periods of ball retention which is alien to the hurling game. We will place great emphasise on looking after possession and not treating the puck like a hot potato. This will be no mean feat in the hurly burly of this type of game but that’s what I’m asking of the squad. We need cool heads and good vision. The main Irish feature is to apply more and more pressure on the player in possession, take a point from any position and when losing try to score goals to secure 3 points and commit more players forward.” The international double-header between Ireland and Scotland begins at Croke Park on Saturday 30 October 2010 with a 4.45pm start. |
