01 October 2010 Fort William keeper Paul MacKay has been called up to the Scotland senior squad for the forthcoming Shinty / Hurling international against Ireland. Scotland Head Coach Drew McNeil has called up MacKay as cover for first choice keeper Stuart MacKintosh of Glenurquhart. The young keeper, who is also eligible for the Scotland U21 side, came into the senior Fort William side at the start of this season where he replaced Scott McNeil who had retired. McNeil also played in goal for Scotland in their narrow defeat against the Irish last season. Scotland and Ireland meet in the Shinty / Hurling international at Croke Park, Dublin on Saturday 30 October 2010 and at the Bught Park, Inverness a fortnight later. |
