| Portree Primary School Lose Out In Shinty World Cup. | |
| 16 June 2010 Portree Primary School failed to qualify for the Shinty World Cup Final following the qualifying ties at Drumnadrochit on Wednesday 16 June 2010. The Portree youngsters are reigning champions but playing Tulloch League matches on Monday and Tuesday this week has meant a punishing week for the Skye youngsters. Portree drew most of their matches and just missed the cutting edge which might have turned the draws into victories. Portree Primary School from: Iain P MacKenzie, Donald Nicolson, Ian Nicolson, Caitlin Maclean, James Pringle, Johnathan Laing, Connor Ross, Niall McHugh However the side bounced back by beating Bracadale in the Talisker League at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree in the evening. There is one more important match for the side to look forward to this week as Portree Primary School play Rockfield Primary School in the Tulloch League Final at the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 19 June 2010. | |
