Lochaber U17 Coach Delaney Delighted To Be Back In Final. | |
11 June 2010 Lochaber U17 coach Michael Delaney was delighted to see his side win through to the MacTavish Juvenile Cup Final and he also took time out to praise Skye for their performance. “I’m pleased we in the final again,” said Delaney who also manages the Lochaber first team. “I thought our strength tonight was the solid performance from our defenders. The possession between the sides was fairly even over the game but we defended well and didn’t allow Skye many chances. Credit though to our boys up front for taking their chances.” Looking at Skye’s contribution to the game, Delaney said, “I thought it was a blow for Skye when buckshee forward Jordan Murchison had to go off injured. He was always in the thick of the action. I also thought Skye full centre Martin Bruce had a really good battle with Connor Sweeney in the middle of the park. It was a very even tussle and you can see that they are both good players.” Cup holders Lochaber U17 will now play Glenurquhart U17 in the MacTavish Juvenile Cup Final at the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 19 June 2010. |
