Portree High School Just Edged Out In MacBean Cup.

Portree High School lost out in the MacBean Cup on goal difference at the outer pitch of the Bught Park, Inverness on Wednesday 9 June 2010.

A total of 6 sides played in a round robin competition for U13 players with the top 2 teams due to play in the final.

However when Portree High, Lochaber High and Inverkeithing High all finished level on points, it was decided to decide the competition on goal difference and Lochaber came out on top.

Portree played well in the competition winning 4 games and only losing out to Lochaber. Kyle Pirie played well for the Island youngsters in defence as did Will Cowie at full centre. Cousins Angie Grant and Andrew Grant were always lively in attack.
