| MacVicar Delighted With Successful Week. | |
| 05 June 2010 Skye Camanachd second team manager Davie MacVicar was delighted following a successful shinty week after his team’s 2-1 win over Beauly at Braeview Park in Marine Harvest North Division 2 on Saturday 5 June 2010. “I’m delighted with the win,” MacVicar told Cuillin FM after the game. “We were missing players through injury and work commitments and a couple of our regulars were called up to the first team. We also had a good Beauly side to contend with and their forwards were a real handful. Our keeper Michael Nicolson made some great saves, and although Beauly scored a late goal, he deserved a clean sheet.” “Our whole defence was great. 16 year old Martin Bruce was our captain for the day and he was superb at buckshee back.” The Skye U17s enjoyed a 4-0 win against Beauly U17 at the same venue earlier in the week. “Half a dozen of our players played in both games so it has been a successful week,” said MacVicar who also coaches the U17s. Both Skye teams have a free week on Saturday 12 June 2010. | |
