Kinlochshiel Boss Delighted With Victory. | |
30 May 2010 Kinlochshiel joint manager Keith Loades was delighted with his side’s 5-1 win over Skye Camanachd in Marine Harvest North Division 1 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 29 May 2010. “I’m delighted with the win,” said Loades. “I must say that I didn’t think there were 4 goals in it but we didn’t waste any of the chances we made. Young David Falconer scored a fantastic first goal and you could even say our second goal was against the run of play. Finlay MacRae was our top man today. He did everything Johnston and I asked of him and more. He also took his goal well.” Shiel have been the form team in the league of late. After losing their first 3 league games, they have now won 5 matches in a row. “We were short of players in these opening games,” said Loades. “Steven Callander was serving a 2 match ban for a sending off in the dying minutes of our last game of last season. Full back Paul MacRae had a hand injury and of course we lost Finlay MacRae to suspension too. We’ve also switched the side about at bit since then. We don’t have that big a squad so any absences can be a problem.” Kinlochshiel face Beauly in the quarter final of the Balliemore Cup next week. “We will still be missing John MacRae through suspension,” said Loades. “Neil Fraser felt his hamstring at the end of the game so I hope he is ok for next week.” The winners of the tie face Skye Camanachd in the Balliemore Cup semi final. |
