Former Skye Camanachd player Douglas MacDougall leads a team on 8 cyclists who set off from Aberdeen at 7am this morning, Thursday 27 May 2010, to cycle to the Portree Lifeboat Station in Portree where they hope to arrive at approximately 4.45pm on Saturday 29 May 2010.
Douglas MacDougall, Jon Miller, who has Skye connections, and their colleagues intend to arrive in Portree in time to see the Marine Harvest North Division 1 west coast derby between Skye Camanachd and Kinlochshiel at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree. The game throws up at 2.30pm.
The team are raising funds for Lucky2Bhere and the British Heart Foundation.
The cyclists will then head for the Portree Lifeboat station where there will be refreshments for anyone who wishes to congratulate the them on their fantastic achievement.
