There are remarkable similarities between the sides entering the quarter final stages of the senior and junior national cup competititions.

The last 8 of the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup and Aberdein Considine sees 7 clubs represented in both competitions.

Scottish Hydro Premier Division sides Fort William, Kingussie, Inveraray Kyles Athletic and Glenurquhart feature in both competitions. Top division side Oban Camanachd are still in the Camanachd Cup whilst their reserve side Lochside Rovers are also in the Sutherland Club.

Skye Camanachd is the only club from out with shinty’s top flight to feature in both cup competitions.

The final places are taken up by Newtonmore in the Camanachd Cup and Lovat in the Sutherland Cup.
