| MacDonald Hails Gritty Performance. | |
| 23 May 2010 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald was pleased with what he described as a “gritty” performance from his side in their 3-2 extra time win over Kilmallie in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 22 May 2010. “It was a gritty performance today but I felt we always tried to play shinty. We can play better and although you could say we ground out the result, I thought the effort the players showed was absolutely superb. I was delighted with Iain Morrison and you would never know it was just his second appearance in the senior side. Alan Palmer scored a great goal and Danny Morrison also looked good when he came on.” Next weekend, Skye Camanachd host in form Kinlochshiel in a west coast derby Marine Harvest North Division 1 “Shiel have being played very well in recent weeks and it sounds like they pushed Fort William all the way today. We’ll miss the suspended Jamie MacDonald but I hear they will be without John MacRae who was also sent off today. We picked up a few knocks today but hopefully everyone else will be available and we should have Allan MacKinnon back.” said MacDonald. | |
