| Gary Innes Tips Kilmallie or Lochaber For The Marine Harvest North Division 1 Title. | |
| 30 April 2010 Fort William’s Scottish International Gary Innes thinks that the Marine Harvest North Division 1 title race will be between Kilmallie and Lochaber.
Previewing the weekend shinty action in his weekly BBC shinty blog, the Scotland captain said of the MacTavish Cup quarter final derby between Kilmallie and Lochaber, “Both sides will want bragging rights for this one and it could be an indicator of who will win North Division 1.”
That’s a view that’s likely to win Innes a warm reception from the supporters of North Division 1 title chasers Skye Camanachd when his Fort William side visit Portree at the weekend.
Turning his attention to the tie between Skye Camanachd and Fort William, Innes said, “Skye Camanachd are notoriously hard to beat at home and have started the season well in Division 1. Fort will need to buck up their ideas if they want to progress to the semi-finals.”
