The Skye Camanachd U14 A side had an 8-1 win over Lochcarron U14 in their opening Local League match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Friday 16 April 2010.

The Skye Camanachd U14s have won the North U14 League for the last 2 seasons and they made a good start to this year’s campaign.

Ally MacLeod and Iain MacLeod both scored hat-tricks for the young Islanders whilst Angie Grant and Alex MacDonald got the others.
 
Lochcarron played well considering this was their first venture back to 12 a-side youth shinty for some years and Mathew Young scored their goal.
 
Best for Skye were Ross MacFarlane, Mark Mortimer, Jack Latton, DJ Gilpin, Connor Henderson, Ally MacLeod and Will Cowie.

Mathew Young, Izzy Dalgety and Robin Smith were top performers for Lochcarron.
