| MacVicar Disappointed With Performance. | |
| 18 April 2010 Skye Camanachd second team manager Davie MacVicar was disappointed with his side’s performance following their 7-0 defeat to Glenurquhart in Marine Harvest North Division 2 at Blairbeg on Saturday 17 April 2010.
This was always going to be a difficult game for Skye against the 2009 Marine Harvest North Division 2 reigning champions.
“We didn’t play well in the first half,” said MacVicar, “But there was an improvement after the break. We might have had a goal when we were 2-0 down but the referee and goal judge decided that the ball hadn’t crossed the line. Their keeper Gary MacKintosh made a brilliant save from Angie MacDonald just minutes into the second half when the score was 3-0. If these 2 incidents had gone our way then we would have gained confidence and we could have had a different outcome.”
Looking added to next week, MacVicar said, “We have an early start as our Marine Harvest North Division 2 match against Kingussie at the Dell throws up at 12 noon. Kingussie have had a mixed start to the season but they have some experienced players including Kevin Thain who has scored 8 goals in his last 2 games. We’ll see what the first team requirements are playing-wise and take it from there.” | |
