13 April 2010 Kenny Ross has been named Scotland Assistant Head Coach for the next two seasons.
Ross will assist Scotland Head Coach Drew McNeill who said, “I’m grateful that Kenny has stepped forward as I know from previously working with him at Under 21’s and senior level that we are both hugely enthusiastic about our sport. Kenny is held in great respect by the players and I look forward to teaming up with him and sharing our individual ideas, ultimately culminating in a winning formula.”
Former international Ross is still playing for Lochcarron in Marine Harvest North Division 1 but he is currently out of action with a broken hand.
Head Coach McNeill has previously hinted that he will also appoint a south based coach to his coaching team.
The 2010 Shinty / Hurling International takes place on 30 October 2010 at Croke Park, Dublin. There will also be a return match this season at the Bught Park, Inverness. This match takes place 2 weeks later on 13 November 2010. |
