Scottish International Shinty Player Kidnapped - A HAPPY ENDING! | |
10 April 2010 Scottish international shinty player Stuart MacKintosh has been kidnapped.
He was returning home on Saturday 10 April 2010 with his Glenurquhart team mates following their 6-2 defeat to Inveraray in the Scottish Hydro Premier Division when they stopped at a hotel in Ballachulish for some refreshments.
However Skye Camanachd also stopped at the same hotel on their way back from beating Kilmory by the same score in the Balliemore Cup first round.
Saturday 10 April 2010 – 7.38pm
MacKintosh, whose mother comes from North Skye, was last seen been bundled into the Skye Camanachd mini bus, with his accordion, and he is currently heading back to the Misty Isle.
Saturday 10 April 2010 – 8.32pm
There is no news yet regarding what ransom Skye will be seeking for the Scottish international keeper. Skye defender AB Connor considered making MacKintosh sign official Camanachd Association transfer papers to secure a move to the Islanders but current Skye keeper Jamie Gannon did not fancy that idea much.
Saturday 10 April 2010 – 9.04pm
Skye had attempted to return MacKintosh to Glenurquhart if the Blairbeg side agreed to sign AB Connor from the Islanders. However Glenurquhart flatly refused this proposal.
Saturday 10 April 2010 – 9.44pm
The latest news from the Skye bus is that MacKintosh is currently playing tunes on his accordion to placate his captors as they consider his fate. Skye midfielder Shockie MacLennan, himself an accordion player, has been heard to mutter, “He’s not as good as Gary Innes!”
Saturday 10 April 2010 – 10.07pm
It’s believed that the Skye players could be taking MacKintosh to a safe house in Braes.
Saturday 10 April 2010 – 11.08pm
MacKintosh has been spotted with his accordion in Portree's main night-spot, the Caley. MacKintosh was last heard mumbling, "When's the next but out of Portree, I'm playing in the Gellions tomorrow night." The Gellions is believed to be a den of iniquity in Inverness.
Sunday 11 April 2010 – 8.58am
MacKintosh was last spotted boarding the 9am service bus out of Portree on Sunday morning having escaped his captors who fell asleep after listening to his stories about his penalty saves in the 2009 Marine Harvest Clash of the Camans semi final against Inveraray. |
