MacDonald Pleased To Be In MacTavish Cup Quarter Finals. | |
03 April 2010 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald was pleased to see his side through to the quarter finals of the MacTavish Cup following their 1-0 win over Lochcarron at Battery Park on Saturday 3 April 2010.
A solitary Allan MacKinnon strike, just 8 minutes into the second half, gave the Islanders a hard earned victory.
“It was a very open match,” said MacDonald, “with chances at both ends and whilst our finishing could have been better, I think we deserved the win.
However Lochcarron made it uncomfortable for us and created several good chances, especially in the second half, which could have changed the outcome of the game.”
MacDonald should have a bigger squad to choose from for next weekend’s Balliemore Cup trip to Lochgilpead to play Kilmory. “Somhairle MacDonald will return,” he said, “and we should have John Moir and Kenny Campbell back from injury although we will still be without Ally MacLennan.” |
