| Skye Camanachd First Team 2009 Player of the Year. | |
| 14 February 2010 Jamie Gannon has been named the 2009 Skye Camanachd First Team Player of the Year.
Gannon has been in top form since his return to shinty during the 2008 season. He went on to win the Balliemore Cup with Skye in 2008 and has continued to be a safe last line of defence for the team in 2009.
The Skye keeper’s performances were rewarded last season when he was named in Fraser MacKenzie’s Scotland squad for the senior shinty / hurling international against Ireland.
Gilleasbuig MacDonald, Steven Morrison and Kenny Campbell also gathered a respectable number of votes from their team-mates.
Previous Skye Camanachd First Team Players of the Year were Steven Morrison in 2007 and Allan MacLeod in 2008. | |
